AIs introduce unnecessary complexities

One of the dangers of AI, as I'm using it, is that it can introduce unnecessary complexity that your product probably doesn't need. As developers, we often start simple and add on complexities only as they become justifiable. At the end of the day, would it have been faster if you'd written the code yourself, or let an AI complete the whole thing and then spent more time reviewing it?
